Pixel!FX Deluxe family of integrated imaging
products is the industry's premier solution for image
scanning, annotation, editing, storage, retrieval

Pixel!FX interfaces with a wide range of scanners
and offers the ability to read and write virtually
any image file format desired anywhere in your network.
From black-and-white and grayscale to 8-bit, 24-bit
or 48-bit color images, and even up to 16-bit grayscale
and 32/64 bit CMYK, Pixel!FX provides a full
complement of tools to give you the power to move
mountains -- all within your UNIX workstation and
network environment.
The Pixel!FX product includes three powerful
applications: Pixel!SCAN,
Pixel!EDIT and Pixel!VIEW.
Pixel!ENGINE,
which enables command-line interactive scanning and
processing, is also included. The Pixel!OCR
and Pixel!PRINT
options can be added to extend the capabilities of

Intuitive Interface
Pixel!FX offers an icon-based user interface
that includes complete point-and-click functionality.
The use of tear-off menus and icon toolbars allows
you to customize your display. Extensive drag-and-drop
support gives you intuitive control of powerful image
manipulation operations.
Application Compatibility
To round out the capabilities of niche products, Pixel!FX
offers built-in integration with other popular third-party
programs. For example, Pixel!FX can be launched
directly from within FrameMaker or Interleaf, and
supports image file formats for WordPerfect, ERMapper,
Adobe Postscript programs, as well as other applications.
You can also drag and drop Image Album icons to or
from other Motif-compliant applications, making importing
and exporting a snap.
Compression and Decompression
Pixel!FX supports state-of-the-art compression
and decompression: JPEG or LZW (LZW support enabled
with Pixel!LZW option)
for color and grayscale, as well as CCITT Group 3
and Group 4 for line art. Progressive JPEG and interlaced
GIF are supported to facilitate World Wide Web home
page authoring.
