Subject: Agfa Horizon/Ultra freezes on SGI

Problem:

During large scans, the Agfa Horizon freezes and causes a SCSI bus error.

Solution:

1. Become super-user.
   
   
2. cd /var/sysgen/master.d
   
   
3. Use a text editor to edit the file wd93
   
   
4. Find the line similar to the following:

wd93_enable_disconnect ...... { 1 /* scsibus 0 */ .........

5. Change

   { 1 /* scsibus 0 */

   TO

   { 0 /* scsibus 0 */

   for whichever bus the scanner is connected to.

6. Type autoconfig to reconfigure the kernel.
   
   
7. Reboot the system.
