Subject: Howtek error messages on Solaris

Problem:

When installing the Howtek D4000 or 4500 on Solaris 2.4, the following message appears:

Warning: Driver (mxssd) configuration failed. System could not install driver.

Solution:

Add the following line to the /etc/system file:

set scsi_options & ~0x8
