Subject: Scanned images result in a core dump

Problem:

After a scan of an image larger than 64MB, Pixel!FX hangs or produces a core dump.

Solution:

1. Use HP/UX's sam command and modify the kernel parameter maxdsiz.
   
   
2. Increase this value so a user will have at least double the amount needed for the scanned image.
