Subject: XV views images too dark

Problem:

When viewing images in XV, the images appear to be too dark.

Solution:

1. Update to the latest release of v5.x or later.

   OR

2. Start Pixel!FX with the following command:

   pfx -displayGamma 1.0

   OR

3. Add this line to the file $PIXELFXDIR/Pfx or ~/Pfx:

   -displayGamma 1.0

   OR

4. In Pixel!SCAN, after prescanning, adjust the gamma to 2.2. Then scan, and save the file.
