Subject: Scanner reset/attach error

Problem:

User is getting the message "Cannot reset or attach scanner."

Solution:

  1. Verify the cables are connected properly.

  2. Verify the SCSI chain is terminated properly.

  3. Verify the scanner is connected to the first SCSI bus (see platform-specific notes for attaching to secondary SCSI buses).

  4. Verify the scanner is set to the correct SCSI address.

  5. Cycle power on the scanner and reboot the system.
