Systems for submitting electronic fingerprint records from card
or live scans
Mentalix's Fed Submit product line allows both law enforcement
and civilian security companies of any size to acquire electronic
fingerprints via card scanning or live scanning, submit the
electronic data to destination agencies for ID, and track the responses.
Submitting background checks and arrest records electronically has

Fed Submit Products
- Fed Submit (Civil):
Ten-print scanning software (supports both live scan and card
scan). Designed for civilian companies or agencies that scan applicant
fingerprints and submit the electronic files to a destination
agency for background checks and ID verification.
- Fed Submit (Criminal):
Ten-print and palm print scanning software (supports both
live scan and card scan). NEW feature:
Includes local matching for live scan stations. For
organizations that scan criminal (or applicant) fingerprints and
submit the electronic files to a destination agency for arrest
reporting, ID verification or background checks. Additional features
for law enforcement agencies, such as JMS integration and mug
shot import (and a mug shot capture add-on) are supported.
- Fed Submit (TX): Same
as Fed Submit (Criminal), with the added benefit of customized
data fields for submitting records to the Texas DPS. Supports
encrypted Internet submission. Enables Two-Finger Lookups and
printing of CR-43 forms.
- Fed Submit Card Processing:
Designed for scanning large volumes of fingerprint cards. Supports
use of multiple scan stations and customization.
- Fed Submit CardPrint: Optional add-on. Prints FBI-certified
ten-print cards. With a color printer, printing onto blank card
stock is enabled.
Sample Configurations:
Fed Submit can be configured in various setups, depending on the
agencies involved, the submission requirements and the number of
fingerprint processing stations. The diagrams below show two examples
of many possible setups.
Figure 1: Police station submits data to state agency. If
no match is found at the state level, data is sent to FBI. FBI returns
results to the state, which forwards results to the police.
Figure 2: Branch bank sends data to the main bank, which
submits records to the ABA for background checks. ABA sends data
to FBI. FBI returns results to ABA, which posts results on a secure
Web site for the banks to access.
