Products for Developers & Systems Integrators

Mentalix offers a variety of API products for systems integrators and developers who want to incorporate scanning capabilities within existing turnkey systems. These products provide varying levels of functionality, ranging from general-use imaging features to specialized, customizable scanning applications. 'C' and script-based API solutions are available for several scanning devices and systems, including cross-platform, UNIX and Windows applications. Pixel!ENGINE & Pixel!ENGINE OCR

If you need batch scanning, editing or OCR capabilities, Mentalix's Pixel!ENGINE and Pixel!ENGINE OCR are the products for you. Pixel!ENGINE enables batch or command-line interactive scanning and processing functionality. The Pixel!ENGINE OCR product includes the same functions, plus Optical Character Recognition capabilities.

These developer tools provide more power than a command-line interface, yet do not require the degree of programming expertise necessary to use an Application Programming Interface (API). Pixel!ENGINE and Pixel!ENGINE OCR are designed to accommodate a variety of potential uses for programmers and developers. Both products make it easy to build custom utility and batch scripts. You can script repetitive tasks; create user-specific applications; or add scanning, file conversion or OCR (requires Pixel!ENGINE OCR) capabilities to a new product. The PDF Add-On product enables batch TIFF to PDF conversion capabilities.

Pixel!SCAN API Toolkit

Designed for systems integrators and developers interested in incorporating access to scanners within their custom UNIX, Windows, or cross-platform applications. 'C' and script-based scan API solutions are available. In addition to standard features such as sizing/cropping controls and color adjustment settings, the software offers advanced options such as calibration, scan-to-TIFF file and convolution filters. Allows Pixel!ENGINE users to execute previously created TCL scanning scripts. For more information on the Toolkit, contact a Mentalix sales representative.
